Slip, trip, and fall hazards can exist throughout classrooms, hallways, and staff areas, creating
risks that may lead to serious injuries. This course discusses how these incidents occur and that
by developing greater situational awareness, educators can take proactive steps to protect
themselves and maintain a safe workplace.

• Understanding how friction, momentum and gravity influence balance, movement and the likelihood of falls
• Applying situational awareness techniques to identify potential dangers and reduce the risk of injury
• Implementing practical safety strategies to maintain a safer work environment and promote personal well-being
