This book is written to help teachers explain the process of regaining composure to their young students. This is an attempt at moving away from the traditional timeout where the child is simply required to sit and wait. The traditional timeout fails to make the learning truly happen for the child and takes away the opportunity for the brain to connect a replacement behavior or solution with the situation.
