Responses to trauma usually fall into 1 of 3 categories, says Kim Johancen. As students who are at-risk (and other students) return to school post-pandemic, it’s important to realize that each student processes trauma uniquely.
Kim Johancen, MA, LPC will share insights on this topic at the At-Risk & Struggling Students Conference in Las Vegas. Kim is a counselor who has worked for a number of years with students who self-injure, as well as those who have experienced trauma. She is co-author of the newly released book, Traumatized Students: School-Based Interventions for Reaching Below the Surface.
